Have you ever wondered what is above the heavens? Or have you ever question why you can’t see to the next realm that’s above us. Well let’s see what the Bible says. Look at Genesis 1:1 it says: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, Let there be light, and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day and the darkness he called the night. And there was evening, and there was morningthe first day. And God said, Let there be an expanse between the waters to separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so, God called the expanse sky.

Now look at Job 38:18 it says Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth? Tell me, if you know all this. What is the way to the abode of light? And were does darkness reside? Can you take them to their places? Do you know the paths to their dwellings? Surely you know for you were already born! You have lived so many years! (I recommend reading the whole book of Job, especially chapter 38).

Look at Psalms 8:1 it says O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. From the lips of Children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.

Now look at Isaiah 40: 22 it says He enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff. To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal? Says the Holy One.

Look at Jeremiah 10:12 it says But God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding. When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.

Now look at Psalm 24:1 it says The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters. Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God his Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob.

Look at Job 9:6 it says He shakes the earth from its place and makes its pillars tremble. He speaks to the sun and it does not shine; he seals off the light of the stars,. He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea. He is the Maker of the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the south. He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.

Now look at Hebrews 11:3 it says By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

In closing look at 2Peter 3:3 it says First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation. But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’ word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
