I’m not your typical eligible single man, all too accustomed to watching junk tv missing the fun every weekend. I’d wager you guys haven’t witnessed me talk much on great dating and companionship. Go figure.

Boredom is an unfortunate human characteristic and completely absent from my genetics. Even so, Winter of 09 was an exception, I had no choice but to put the breaks on a special cohabitation and I felt a great deal for but truly deadended for both of us. I guess you would say it may have been ages since I dated someone new. I don’t have the great expectations for dating I once did.

I’m not used to being single. This much is certain, I won’t sit tight, peacefully watching Star Trek Enterprise episodes off the torrents. The primary cause of this spell of fresh break-up dating boredom? We’re not in high school, and most ladies I meet at work are taken.

My take-no-holds football pal, Tim, who has never had dating loneliness, informed me he’s currently in the same boat. He introduced me to this Dallas dating service called Great Expectations. Not usually my thing, but I enjoy getting to know fun chicas who meet my values. Go figure, I got real about my dating life and became a member.

I told myself, there ain’t room to grovel due to being alone if ya haven’t even put yourself into the game. Just like our senior year basketball coach Jason Simms repeated to no end when his wife wasn’t looking, “When the ladies don’t bite, bite them first, Jeff.”

I don’t know why he called me that. However, the man was on the money without being self-righteous. He was good humored. The care-free series of Dallas singles events I just went to could have blown the old man’s shiny bald head.

Last night at a Great Expectations happy hour I mingled with dozens quality and attractive women that catch my eye. I actually had a carefree night with some terrific incredible people. The evening ended with a promising exchange of numbers, and even came across some social networking connections for work. I’m impressed.

Take action. Can’t win if you don’t try. Listen to me and at least have great expectations for for your own good.

Live It Up!
