Turkey has risen in popularity with the British public over recent years, tourists who’ve grown tired of the same old resorts in Spain and Greece have ventured further south to Turkey in search of the same amazing weather but with different surroundings.

The numbers of younger tourists visiting resorts such as Marmaris has ensured steady growth in Turkey’s tourism trade and has quickly become a favourite with many people returning year after year.

Many of the cheap flights companies venture to Turkey and so there are always deals going on for travelling to Turkey, the majority of these flights go to Dalaman Airport with tourists dispersing to the various beachfront resorts surrounding the area. What people miss out on though is all the delights that Dalaman Holidays have to offer.

There has always been a good level of tourism in recent years but it was only since the opening of the Dalaman Airport that really saw the tourist numbers soar.

Dalaman is situated in a valley which produces many vegetables and so much of the local cuisine includes many flavourful vegetable dishes you can enjoy these dishes either in the many restaurants or cook them yourself by visiting the local open air markets on various days in many towns.

A main attraction for many tourists are the many beaches and coves littered across the coastline, Hamam cove is home to what is known as ‘Cleopatra’s Bath’ which is popular due to the hot water spring rich with calcium and other minerals with many people coming to the area to bathe in it’s nutritional goodness.

These springs as well as many other low-sulphur springs and mud baths draw huge crowds all looking to improve their skin and well-being. As well as ancient Roman remains like the baths there are also many tombs for kings of the Lycian era. The impressive architecture is dotted all around the area of Dalaman, from the coast to the mountains at the edge of the valley there are many historic city ruins with these tombs standing above them.

Dalaman holidays can offer all that you need in summer with a booming tourist trade and many sandy beaches and coves you’ll easily be able to find somewhere perfect for your to rest, there are even lesser known coves that can only be approached via boat for the ultimate unspoiled beauty and most importantly, relaxing holiday in years!
